A six-member team from Qatar-based charity, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) left Doha yesterday for Indonesia, where they will review progress on their current projects.
Highlights of the trip will be the inauguration of a Learning Center which has been funded, built and equipped by ROTA in Aceh, Sumatra, and the laying of a foundation stone for a purpose built primary and secondary school for 1,000 students in Jogjakarta, Java - which is due for completion by July, 2007.
Memorandums of Understanding will also be signed for further phases of the projects, including a 5-year educational enhancement program which will involve workshops and training for teachers and students, and the twinning of the schools with local schools in Doha.
The delegation for the 5-day mission is led by the organization's Director, Mrs Omnia Nour.
