ROTA Cooperates with HMC to Celebrate Garangaou with Children

 Qatar-based NGO Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) and volunteers celebrated Garangaou with children from Hamad and Rumaillah Hospitals. The celebration was part of the ROTA Ramadan Project 2010, a series of community initiatives by ROTA and its supporting partners during the Holy Month of Ramadan, and organized with the help of Hamad Medical Corporation.

ROTA Ramadan 2010 Project Begins!

Summary: 
 Following the success of the past three years, Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) has begun preparations for this year's Ramadan Project by packing groceries for distribution to 100 families in need. For the second year, this activity took place at the Amna Bint Wahab Independent Secondary School for Girls, and was carried out by an enthusiastic and diverse group of committed ROTA volunteers.

ROTA Holds iEARN-QATAR Open House

 iEARN is the world's largest non-profit global network that enables young people to use the Internet to engage in collaborative educational projects across the globe. The Open House, held at the Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar in Education City, saw 23 schools from Qatar showcasing their efforts towards accomplishing 34 projects. H.E. Reach Out to Asia Inaugurates 11 Rehabilitated Schools in Gaza

Summary: 
 ROTA's partnership with IRW, an international relief and UK-based development organization, was launched in June 2009. The partnership focuses on improving access to quality education in the Gaza Strip. Following the Israeli military assault on Gaza in the winter of 2008-2009, which destroyed educational facilities and infrastructure in Gaza, school children and teachers were struggling with the burden of accessing and providing even the most basic education-related services. 

Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) has announced a milestone in one of its key projects benefitting school children in Gaza. ROTA inaugurated the first 11 of 22 schools, rehabilitated and equipped in joint partnership with Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) in Gaza.
