Summary: 

Rota has started a program in Indonesia that aims at providing ICT infrastructure as well as improving teaching and learning methodologies for teachers, students and administrations in 12 schools.

Rota has started a program in Indonesia that aims at providing ICT infrastructure as well as improving teaching and learning methodologies for teachers, students and administrations in 12 schools.

Moreover, he program will ensure that these schools in Indonesia have the necessary resources to help children learn, improve school management and develop teachers professionally.

This program, launched in partnership with Titian Foundation and Qatar Petroleum, was initiated in 2012 and will be completed in the last quarter of 2015.

Establishment of a Youth Centre in Al-Zubier District – Basra Governorate

The project is to harness youth potential and talent to promote creativity, as well as a culture of peace and tolerance, amongst the youth through active engagement in sport and creative activities.

Global Citizen Corps (GCC)

The program’s goal is to inspire and equip an expanding network of young leaders to take informed actions that build and secure productive and just communities throughout the world.  Qatar joins a host of other nations in the network, including the United States, United Kingdom (Scotland), the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

Emergency Education for Internally-Displaced Peoples (IDPs)

Summary: 
The IDP education program was a response to the emergency situation from constant military activity in Malakand, Dir and Buner Districts. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) and ROTA partnership was setup to provide emergency education and was guided by the INEE Minimum Standards for Education in Emergencies, Chronic Crisis and Early Reconstruction. These standards provide guidance and tools on all aspects of education in emergencies and the IRC ensured to meet these standards in its implementation.

Professional Support Program in Union Council in Nar Sher Ali Khan District Bagh Azad Jammu, Kashmir

Improving Access and Quality of Education for Returned IDP Children Affected by the Floods in Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan

This project focused on ensuring the continuation of education by the affected children by constructing and rehabilitating schools, building capacity for teachers and Parent Teacher Councils (PTC), and using sports and activities to build leadership skills in the children.

In the last few years, Pakistan has run into one humanitarian crisis after another: the 2005 earthquake in North West Frontier Province, Azad Jumma and Kashmir, human internal displacement in the aftermath of military operation in Swat and other tribal regions against the Taliban in 2009, and more recently,  intense floods have hit the country.  ROTA has reacted almost immediately to increase access to
