ROTA Achievements 2013-2015Over the past two years, ROTA has seen many of its already established projects bear the fruits of a long and arduous process. The challenges faced have been unique to each project, but the goal has always been the same: to help. While this report highlights our achievements thus far and documents the successes we have worked so hard to attain, it also serves as a reminder of the challenges that still lay ahead; challenges which continue to evolve in their unpredictability, no matter how prepared we are. |

The Empower Youth DeclarationIn accordance with the theme of the 2014 Empower Conference, a dedicated group of youth leaders from Qatar - and from across the world - convened to develop their ideas on what governments, NGOs, and corporations, and other important stakeholders should do to unlock the power of sports for the benefit of youth in the society. Their thoughts, ideas, and concerns were enshrined in what is the seminal outcome of this year’s conference – The Empower Youth Declaration on Sports for Youth Development and Empowerment. The Empower Youth Declaration is a call to action. It represents the voices of youth who recognize the power of sports in all its forms. |

ROTA Progress Report 2011 - 13Another year arrives and Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) intensifies its efforts worldwide as we embark on reaching out to an ever-widening audience. The past years have demonstrated how sharing knowledge and pooling resource has, sometimes overwhelmingly, transformed the lives of men, women, and children across the developing world. ROTA’s biggest asset, by far, is working with its partners and volunteers. We are indebted to the continued support from our volunteers, who dedicate their expertise, resources, time, and knowledge to the many projects ROTA is committed to in the Middle East and Asia. |

ROTA Progress Report 2009 - 11For ROTA, 2009-2011 were challenging, yet highly successful years. At a time when global humanitarian and economic crisis made life much more difficult for the underprivileged and excluded people with whom ROTA work and the Board of Directors were extremely proud of the ROTA staff, volunteers and partners who worked tirelessly to give many thousands of people and hundreds of communities across Asia and the Middle East the opportunity of a better, more positive future. We achieved so much together and there were many highlights to our success. Download the report for details. |

Veil of TearsThe stories in this collection were gathered over a period of time by IRIN radio reporters in different provinces of Afghanistan. In each case, the reporter set out to investigate the circumstances affecting people’s lives in a particular district or village - and in each case the deaths of women in pregnancy and childbirth came up as a leading concern. While the people featured in this booklet come from widely different parts of the country and represent Afghanistan’s rich ethnic tapestry, their stories speak as if with a single voice. |
